From York St John Alumni Office: Ripon alumni event
This November, we can’t wait to welcome alumni who studied in Ripon to our annual winter event! Following your feedback around event timings, we’re excited to host a lunchtime event on Saturday 28 November at The Ripon Inn, close to the city centre. We’re still finalising event details, but each ticket will include a buffet lunch, a fun quiz with the chance to win a prize, and plenty of time to catch up with friends. With Christmas around the corner, we hope alumni will also enjoy visiting Ripon at a festive time of year.

It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that our friend John Morris has died. John’s wife Jan wanted their Ripon College friends to know the sad news. John was one of the first cohort of male students (1969-72) and went on to have an outstanding career in education. John’s funeral arrangements will be announced later. Please remember Jan and the family in your thoughts and prayers.

Today is Ascension Day, and once again I notice it’s falling within KS2 SAT’s week. In the past this day was often celebrated with a school trip to church, certainly in C of E schools.
