𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘀𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟱𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗶𝘇𝘇𝗮!
On Friday we welcomed almost fifty Year 5 pupils from schools across the local area for our first ever Year 5 Outreach Morning - and what a morning it was!
Rather than waiting until our Open Evening in September, we wanted to give prospective students an early chance to visit the school and get stuck in. The pupils were split into two groups, each spending 45 minutes on two very different activities… in one session exploring our living garden and polytunnel, and helping cook pizza outdoors with our DT teachers, and in another, building - and firing! - bottle rockets with our Science team. Safe to say there were plenty of happy faces by the end!
We were delighted to welcome Year 5s on this occasion from: Burwash, Bodiam, Hurst Green, Staplecross, Sedlescombe, Battle and Langton, Etchingham, Salehurst, Netherfield, Crowhurst, Catsfield, Hawkhurst Primary, Robsack Wood, and St Paul's Academy.
This is just the beginning - we are planning further outreach sessions across terms 5 and 6, covering a range of subjects. Watch this space!
