ROC Shoebox Appeal for Shiloh Rotherham - Homeless Support 🫶

Our Student Council is leading a heartfelt project to support people experiencing homelessness in our community. They’ve been passionate about this cause for a long time, most recently sharing their ideas with former Mayor Cllr Rukhsana Ismail.

Last week, Sarah from Shiloh visited ROC to deliver an eye‑opening presentation about the vital work they do. This ended with a powerful video testimonial from one of their guests, reminding us why this support matters.🙌

We are collecting:
Wet wipes (water‑based, not baby wipes)
Pot Noodles
Deodorant (roll‑on)
Cereal bars
Socks (adult sizes)
Small juice cartons
Packets of biscuits
Chocolate bars
Jelly pots
Tinned meat
Shoeboxes

New inclusive exercise sessions are here! 💪✨

Led by our physiotherapy team (The LD Physio) and designed for people in the local community who find exercise difficult to access. These sessions are open to people who have a learning disability, as well as their families and carers.

Activities will be adapted to individual needs and abilities, with a focus on feeling safe, supported, and welcome.

Hosted at the Rotherham Leisure Complex and Clifton Park.

The Rotherham Mayor and two of our amazing ROC tutors are taking on a skydive to raise money for ROC and support our students.

Come prom dress shopping with us! 👗✨

Red Carpet Ready kindly gifted two of our students a full VIP shopping experience at their Lincoln showrooms.

Both students absolutely loved every moment and left with matching dresses of their dreams. We are so grateful to Red Carpet Ready and their amazing team for making this day so special for our fabulous students and the family members who joined them.

And the best part… ITV Calendar were there to capture it all! 🎥

Try the Train with Us! Cleethorpes edition🏖️

Before the holidays our students had the opportunity to go on a train trip to Cleethorpes to feel more independent on trains and using public transport. Thanks to South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority, Railway Children and The Tickart Office for making this brilliant trip and workshop possible and for giving our students insight into a range of exciting rail careers.

Bonus points if you spot the "Rainbow TransPennine Express Trains" 🌈

ROC has been chosen alongside MCVC, Sense and The Unity Centre. We look forward to supporting the Mayor’s fundraising efforts and working together to make a positive difference in our community. 💛

🌟 ROC’s Big Charity Skydive – 11th June! 🌟

We’re fast approaching the big day, and excitement is building as we get ready for our charity skydive to support ROC’s new site renovation.

On the 11th June, Councillor Haroon Rashid, the future Mayor of Rotherham, will be skydiving from 10,000ft alongside two incredible ROC tutors to raise vital funds for our college. 😆💚

Every donation helps us create a more inclusive, accessible, and inspiring space for young people with SEND in Rotherham.
