From April 2025, employer National Insurance contributions (NICs) will rise, adding to business costs. But here’s the good news: employers won’t pay NICs for employees under 25 who are enrolled on an apprenticeship. Whether it’s recruiting fresh talent or upskilling existing staff through an apprenticeship, this exemption helps you reduce costs while growing and developing your team.

The Autumn Budget 2024 brings exciting updates for apprenticeships and skills development.

Here are your need to know takeaways:

🔄 Growth and Skills Levy: More flexible training options tailored to employer needs
💷 £40m investment in shorter, foundation apprenticeships
🏫 £300m boost for Further Education, plus launch of Skills England to tackle skills gaps
🤝 SME levy transfer limit raised to 50%
💰 increase in the apprenticeship minimum wage to £6.40 from April 2024

Naomi Green joins Intec from the world of credit referencing as a Sales Account Manager. She brings extensive experience in dealing with a range of businesses, from SME's to larger blue-chip organisations.
