Remembering Rachel: Charity Art Auction, proceeds to MIND
7pm Friday 30th June 2023 at Sett Art,
174 Burton Road, West Didsbury, Manchester, M201LH

Earlier this year we suffered the tragic loss of one of our own.

Rachel Jackson, aka JeffrieJackson, was a very talented artist and much-loved friend, and widely respected in the Manchester art community and across the North West. From her excellent exhibitions, drawmejeff portraits, window paintings in local shops and beautiful murals in our homes to her frequent free work for hospitals and charities, Rachel touched many of our lives in very positive ways. The world is a less colourful place without her and she is and will alway be very much missed. We truly believe that Rachel would want us to fill the space left in our lives and which we feel in our hearts with art.

We are reaching out to friends and artists to be involved in a charity auction for Mind at Sett this Friday 30th as part of our Didsbury Art Festival program – please contact us if you want to be involved through our social media or email.

We have some excellent artists involved already and have reached out to studios who have been really supportive in connecting and sharing, so you’ll probably see something about this on social media over the next few days. We are very sorry if this is news to those who haven’t heard. We hope that Manchester and the North West’s wider art community will show the same support, consideration and acceptance that Sett and The Odd Squad have been lucky enough to have received.

Please take the time to share this with anyone you think would be interested in contributing in any way.

The auction will have both silent and live aspects to raise funds for a cause which we all can relate to, but is mostly a gathering to show support and respect to one of our own.

Be brave. Be caring. Be present.

We are all in this together.

Very sad to report the passing of Visual Arts/Fine Art programme alumna, Rachael Kearney.

Rachael graduated in 2001. She was a highly talented student. In recent years she created the Call on Courage podcast. It captured her joie de vivre, her creativity and her compassion.

A celebration of her life service will be held on Tuesday 20th June at Sacred Trinity Church, Chapel Street, Salford at 10.30am.

Our thoughts are with her family and friends.

Creativity + courage = the best storytellers building a life they love. The stories we tell ourselves are powerful. Join the brave. Hi my name’s Rachael and I’m a recovering workaholic. I’ve hustled hard, taken risks and swung precariously high on the career ladder. Some of those upper rungs d...
