🌟 A fantastic day out πŸš‹βš½πŸŽ

Our college learners enjoyed an exciting trip to Old Trafford Stadium and The Lowry, travelling using the tram as public transport.

The trip was a brilliant opportunity for our learners to develop their independence, confidence and travel skills while experiencing what the local community has to offer. We also explored and accessed inclusive facilities, helping learners understand how accessible community spaces can support everyone.

From exploring the home of Manchester United ⚽ to enjoying the culture and facilities at The Lowry, it was a fun-filled day of learning, independence and new experiences!

Well done to all our learners for making the most of the day! πŸ‘πŸŒŸ

❀️ Today is Duchenne Awareness Day ❀️

Today we’re raising awareness of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) β€” a rare, life-limiting genetic condition that primarily affects boys and young men.

The 7th September is recognised as Duchenne Awareness Day to represent the 79 exons in the dystrophin gene. A small change in just one of these can cause Duchenne.

πŸ’ͺ Today, we stand with everyone living with Duchenne, their families and the incredible organisations working to improve understanding, support and research.

🎈 Help us raise awareness: change your profile picture to the Duchenne Awareness Day balloon and share this post.

Small acts of awareness can make a big difference. ❀️
