Interested in farming solutions that bring down costs whilst maintaining yields?

Come to the Food, Farming and Nature Hub (Stand 286) at the Royal Cornwall Show 🚜

Metalform will be showcasing their Tow & Fert machine that produces ‘less fert, less cost, more grass’. Using foliar applications it can even be used to apply natural alternatives to chemical fertilisers, such as molasses or seaweed.

Come along to discover how the clever design could help you and your land!

Prickles and Paws Hedgehog Rescue has opened its new purpose‑built Hogspital in Carnanton, Newquay! 🦔

Cornwall Council's Climate & Nature Fund has match funded £4,000 towards the installation of solar panels and 15 kWh of battery storage. This means lifesaving incubators keep running during power cuts, like those experienced during Storm Goretti 🌩️

This renewable energy system is helping the charity cut carbon, reduce running costs, and build resilience all while caring for up to 1,400 hedgehogs every year 💚

If you have a project that tackles the effects of the climate and ecological emergency, you could receive up to £5,000 in support! https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/funds/cornwall-climate-nature

Have you ever heard of a pedal-powered wood chipper?

Well, look no further than our Food, Farming and Nature Hub at the Royal Cornwall Show (stand 286) where Soil Resilience are going to bring theirs! Come down for a pedal 🚴‍♀️

This nifty and eco-friendly technology was funded via Cornwall Council’s Climate and Nature Crowdfunder, and we’re excited to take a look. Soil Resilience will be on hand to offer advice and consultation on regenerative farming and soil health. If you’re looking to explore more productive and sustainable growing practices then visit stand 286 to have a chat - whether you’re a farmer, gardener or grower.

"Cornish hedges, which are a key feature of our work, are integral to the biodiversity of Cornwall’s landscape" - Cornwall Rural Education and Skills Trust (CREST).

We're delighted to announce that CREST will be returning to join our Farming, Food and Nature Hub at the Royal Cornwall Show this year, on stand 286 🗣

Come and find CREST to learn about rural crafts and their vital importance to both our heritage, our wildlife and maintaining the landscape. As a showcase, they'll be continuing their work on building a Cornish Hedge next to our Hub!

Happy World Biodiversity Day 2026! 🌱🐸🦭

Today marks the United Nations’ International Day for Biological Diversity 🐬

This year’s theme is all about "Acting Locally for Global Impact" 🕷️🐝🌱 You don’t need to save a rainforest to make a difference; big global changes start right in our own communities.

Want to take action today? Here are 3 simple ways to dive in:
👀 Take a walk outside and actively notice the birds, insects, and plants that share your neighbourhood

🌱 Plant some native flowers for local pollinators, join a community cleanup, or support a local conservation group

📢 Use your voice! Make a Pledge for Nature to demonstrate your commitment towards helping nature
