After launching our long-awaited hair extension courses in 2019, we have had some fantastic feedback from our graduates, as well as seeing them working in the 'real world' and growing their client bases.

We believe in quality over quantity, so would rather wait and deliver top-rate training to small groups of people who are determined to learn, than put classes on every week and throw a tonne of un-confident people into the industry who feel like they've been on a cheap and cheerful course, packed full of students and told they'll be proficient in 10 methods after one day of training on a doll head!

What do our courses include?

The beginners course includes a whole full day of theory, to give our beginners the confidence and knowledge to fit hair safely and take into account client's hair texture, growth patterns, scalp health and all contra-indications, as well as learning how to correctly section the hair, cut and style it.

Both our hairdressers and beginners courses include:

✅Fitting a full head of extensions on a live model - you won't get signed off for fitting a few rows on a mannequin head

✅ A full kit (including a Lady Locks colour ring), so you can begin working on clients right away

✅ A full theory manual, jam-packed with everything you need to know about fitting extensions safely

✅ A separate step-by-step fitting guide with photos, which you can have handy at your fittings

✅ Cutting, blending, styling and photographing your finished work - so you'll get your very own first ever 'before and after' pics to start your portfolio

✅ All graduates are welcome to come back to refresh on any elements they're unsure of, as well as being able to take videos throughout the course to help you after you leave

✅ A trade account for Lady Locks Hair Extensions Ltd, so you can get access to the best prices for hair extensions

✅ Bonus business coaching - Maddi is a salon business coach and will help you with any questions you have around setting up your business, to growing it using social media (and anything in between!)

✅ You will be certified once you send us a case study of a full head fitting of Little Tip extensions. Bonds are technically more difficult to fit which is why we do these in the class, but you need to show us that you can fit Little
Tips on a live model so we can certify you in both methods - you don't just get a certificate for showing up!

✅ Confidence! This is the most important thing to us, which is why we send you the full manual when your deposit is paid, along with a mini quiz to check that you've read and understand it. This is why we also let you take videos in the course, and welcome back any graduates who need a little extra support after their course.

Bookings can be secured by paying a £195 deposit, the rest of the balance must be paid at least 14 days before your course date. Payments can be made by bank transfer or by credit or debit card.

If there's anything you'd like to ask us before you book onto the course, please just send us a message and we'll be more than happy to help.

Class spaces are very limited as we like to keep sizes small so there's plenty of one on one support throughout the course, so don't hang around if you'd like to become a qualified hair extension specialist!

I used to hate Mondays... the weekend would seem to fly over and then the dreaded Monday alarm clock would go off and I’d drag myself out of bed into the cold morning and get myself ready for my office job.

I loved the people but the job didn’t spark any passion. I came and went, came and went, came and went. I would blink and a year had gone by and I was still just pottering along.

Once I trained in extensions almost 10 years ago, something just sparked inside of me. I saw that there was something beyond the 9-5 grind - a career, a calling even! I got to hang out with awesome women, help them to feel confident and I even got paid for it. I knew straight away that this is what I was made to do!

I built up my client base until the day I could hand my notice in at my office job. I didn’t even feel nervous... my boss offered to keep my role open ‘just in case’. I told her, ‘thanks but no thanks!’ I knew that this was a final decision.

I’ve honestly never looked back, and now I love Mondays! Not because I’m off on a Monday, but because I spend the day planning my week ahead, booking clients in and ordering hair. I love every single day, especially the ones I spend doing hair or training other people to fit hair extensions!

You spend 1/3 of your time at work, do you want to slog though it or do you want it to set your soul on fire? 🔥🔥🔥

The most important thing to us, is that you the student, feel confident when you leave our course.

This is why you fit a full head of extensions on a live model. You fit them, cut and blend them into the natural hair, then style and photograph your finished work.
We know from our own experience, and hearing from others in the industry, that fitting a few extensions to a doll’s head leaves you feeling anxious about working on live clients. Some people even told us that they didn’t ever fit a single extension because their training didn’t give them any confidence in themselves.
