USES 2013 : University of Sheffield Engineering Symposium Date : 20th May 2013 (10am -5pm)

The University of Sheffield Engineering Symposium (USES) is a day long event that will focus on the contributions of the postgraduates and post-doctorates in the Engineering Faculty. The event is an excellent oppertunity to network not only amongst fellow postgraduates/post-doctorates across various engineering disciplines, but also with members of the faculty and industry representatives. ■ Date: 20th May 2013 (10am -5pm)
■ Venue: Ideas Space in the Robert Hadfield Building

■ Morning session: 10am - 1pm
■ Free buffet lunch: 1pm - 2pm
■ Afternoon session: 2pm - 5pm

■ Posters by groups of postgraduates/post-doctorates, briefly summarizing their current and future research work
■ 2 minute long 'flash' presentations by individual postgraduates/post-doctorates describing their work or general area of research
■ Various talks by members of the Engineering Faculty (and beyond!) and industry representatives

Prize Moneys:

■ Posters - £350 (1st), £200 (2nd), £100 (3rd)
■ Presentations - £100 (1st), £75 (2nd), £50 (3rd)
