SHU Physics

SHU Physics This page is dedicated to all things Physics at Sheffield Hallam. From updates about the course to news and events about physics in the press.

Welcome to the Sheffield Hallam University Physics page. This page is intended to provide a place (beyond Blackboard) to advertise a range of relevant physics content. This does not replace the email system and Blackboard. We will upload a range of content including; information about the course and news around the department/university; physics news and media; summer and internship placements; and whatever else we think might be interesting or relevant.

Paid 4-week STEM Teaching Summer Internships – South Yorkshire Futures, in partnership with Hallam Teaching School Alliance (TSA), are currently offering a significant number of paid, school-based internships for June/July 2020 – these 4-week internships pay £1200 and are open to undergraduates studying Maths, Physics or Engineering at any stage of their degree (providing they have not completed one of these internships before). Even if you are not sure if you want to go into teaching in the future, it is a great way to develop the Communication, Planning and Interpersonal skills that are so often valued in industry. To express your interest in these roles, please complete the online form at http://www.network2learn.com/home/paid-internships.
