Longley Park Sixth Form LPSF is a sixth form, based in the north of Sheffield, for 16-19 year olds. We offer a wide range of A Level and Level 2 and Level 3 vocational courses

The Official page for Longley Park Sixth Form. As a Sixth Form, we are all about providing an amazing place for 16-19 year olds to study. It is a place to meet new friends from lots of different backgrounds, to work with people who share your passion for your chosen subjects and to provide you with the opportunity to develop new skills and contribute to an ambitious, caring and vibrant community. Most importantly, it is a place to take control of your future, make your own decisions and shape your next steps.

Our students took on a fantastic 9.6km walk to Ox Stones in the Peak District, enjoying some beautiful scenery and plenty of fresh air along the way! Starting at Forge Dam, we followed the picturesque Porter Brook trail towards Ringinglow, passing waterfalls and
tackling some steep, rocky paths with ease!

As we made our way through Lady Canning's Plantation, we kept our eyes
peeled for deer, although we weren't lucky enough to spot any this time. Reaching Ox Stones, we were rewarded with spectacular views across the Peak District and a well-deserved rest!

The return journey brought another challenge as we navigated fields while playing a game of 'dodge the cow pat', which most students managed brilliantly!

The minibus journey home was noticeably quieter, with everyone exhausted after a brilliant day outdoors.

Well done to everyone who took part! A fantastic day of adventure, fresh air and exploring the beautiful countryside on our doorstep!

Last week our fantastic Year 2 T Level Cyber students stepped up to support our new Year 1 students, sharing their technical knowledge, skills and experience! 👏

💻 Recommissioned Laptops – Year 2 students issued laptops to our new learners, showcasing the practical skills developed through our 105 Laptop Project.
🖥️ Packet Tracer Skills – Our Year 1 students demonstrated their developing networking skills using Cisco Packet Tracer with the support of the Year 2 students troubleshooting.
🤝 Learning Together – A brilliant opportunity for students across both year groups to collaborate, share knowledge and build confidence.
🚀 Real Skills. Real Experience. Real Opportunities.

This is what T Levels are all about – bringing technical learning to life, developing industry-relevant skills and preparing students for their future careers in digital technology and cybersecurity.

This week, we hosted our Freshers’ Fair, Longley Fest, where our students were able to meet organisations about volunteering opportunities, get creative with Henna, take pictures in a photobooth, have some ice cream and sign up for this year’s enrichment activities.
