Longley Park Sixth Form LPSF is a sixth form, based in the north of Sheffield, for 16-19 year olds. We offer a wide range of The Official page for Longley Park Sixth Form.

As a Sixth Form, we are all about providing an amazing place for 16-19 year olds to study. 🎉 We’re proud to announce that our Sixth Form has achieved the Quality in Careers Standard Award! 🎉

Using the Career Mark approach provided by Complete Careers, this fantastic achievement recognises the quality, breadth and impact of our careers provision.

Our careers programme is designed to open doors for students — supporting them not only as they progress to higher education, vocational training or employment, but as they take their next steps as confident, ambitious members of society.

Through strong partnerships with organisations including See it Be it Sheffield, Opportunity Sheffield, Sheffield Business Together and ASK (Sheffield Apprenticeship group), our students have opportunities to develop the key employability skills valued by employers and universities. 🎓💼

We also work closely with parents and carers, employers and our local community to help every student fulfil their potential, raise their aspirations and feel inspired to achieve a successful future.

As a member of the Sheffield Careers Hub, and through our work with the Careers & Enterprise Company, we are continually developing and strengthening our careers provision to ensure our students are equipped for whatever comes next.

Are you curious about how the world works, fascinated by the human body, passionate about solving problems, or interested in making a difference to people's lives? Our Science Pathway offers a range of exciting courses designed to open doors to some of the UK's most respected university courses and career pathways.

Choose from a combination of:

🧬 A Level Biology
Explore the science of life, from genetics and cells to ecosystems and human physiology. Biology is a fantastic choice for students interested in medicine, healthcare, biomedical science, environmental science, sports science and veterinary careers.

Are you 16 and have recently arrived in the UK? Our Academic ESOL Programme is designed to help you develop the academic English and study skills you need before progressing to a Level 2 main programme at the Sixth Form.

🎓 What is Academic ESOL?

Academic ESOL means English for Speakers of Other Languages, with a focus on studying and learning in English.

On the programme, you'll develop:

📖 Academic reading and writing
✍️ English accuracy and vocabulary
🗣️ Confidence communicating in English
🧠 Study skills and independent learning
📚 English skills for your future education

📝 Your assessment day
As part of your application, you'll attend an assessment day and complete English and Maths assessments.

These assessments help us understand your current level and make sure Academic ESOL is the right programme for you.

There is no need to worry about getting everything right — the results help us place you on a programme where you have the best opportunity to succeed.
