Ebtech Glasshouse Systems latest glasshouse project has been completed
The 7,964.8m² completely used glasshouse comprising of 6.4m bays & 4m sections was constructed in just over three weeks, following the foundations being pre done earlier in the year.
The glasshouse has two pane ventilation either side of the ridge operating on a rail mech system
The gutters are steel with white PVC downpipes on each one
The glasshouse consisted of a few dog legs, but in all it was a very straight forward build for the experienced crew.

Ebtech Construction is headed up by our Construction Director, Mat Thomas. Mat brings a wealth of experience from across the construction industry, from industrial and commercial, to retail and domestic projects, gained over the last 20 years.

Mat has previously worked for Principal Contractors on a diverse range of construction projects. He is a qualified Site Manager (SMSTS), Temporary Works Co-ordinator and First Aider, with extensive Project Management experience, he is currently working towards his Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Construction Contracting Operations Management

Mat’s early career was spent in the hospitality industry, he is naturally customer focussed, and is keen to ensure that our clients are at the heart of all the we do.

Ebtech Glasshouse Systems working with British Garden Centre Group

Following the successful construction of the used glasshouse at the Woodthorpe Garden Centre back in 2017, the British Garden Centre Group and Ebtech Glasshouse Systems have continued to work closely together in some of the recently acquired Garden Centres.
Ebtech installed a new vent system and controls at Carr Gate Garden Centre, Nr Wakefield and renovated the venting system at Bold Heath Garden Centre in Cheshire.
Lock EWA10 ventilation motor were installed at both Carr Gate & Bold Heath Centres to accompany the existing Lock rack & Pinions.
In particular at Carr Gate Garden Centre they were finally able to use the roof ventilation over the children’s play area to give them much better air flow in a normally hot and stuffy environment.

Ebtech Glasshouse Systems have completed the replacement of the double screen system at Double H Nurseries in Hampshire.
Removing the existing and worn thermal and blackout material, it was replaced with Svensson’s closed weave white Harmony 7247 FR cloth on the top, providing a 72% shade and a 47% energy saving and Obscura 10070 FR WB + B on the bottom to provide 99.9% blackout, whilst also giving a 70% energy saving.
Each screen covered an area of 1,520m²
As part of the work all the nylon support wires, slip elements, guide clips, drive wires and clip tubes were replaced along with all pulleys.
The project was successfully completed within a very short period of time to allow the client as little interruption as possible.

Ebtech Glasshouse Systems and their used Dutch glasshouse partner, Olsthoorn Greenhouse Projects have collectively and successfully been awarded the contract to supply and build the 10,000m² used glasshouse at Aldby fields Nurseries, Nr York.
The structure will comprise of one open area with a post height of 4.5m
In addition, a small extension to the glasshouse loading area and corridor of an existing glasshouse will also be built.
Work has already begun in ground conditions that can only be described as challenging.
