We are incredibly proud to celebrate the inspiring achievements of alumnus, Rohit Mukul (LLB 2017), founder and CEO of Zeelab Pharmacy, a pioneering health-tech startup that recently secured $2.4 million in funding led by OTP Ventures. 🚀

Rohit founded Zeelab in 2020 after developing the idea while he was a student in the UK. Since then, it has been transforming the pharmaceutical industry in India with its innovative approach, offering transparent and affordable pricing for medicines.

Alongside his entrepreneurial success, Rohit has been a fantastic supporter of the University, actively strengthening our global presence. His contributions have been particularly invaluable in launching the new University of Southampton Delhi campus, helping to expand opportunities for future students.

Reflecting on his time at the University of Southampton, Rohit shared:

“Studying at the University of Southampton built my critical thinking and problem solving skills, which have been invaluable in my entrepreneurial journey. The university’s global expansion, including the new campus in Delhi, offers students unique opportunities and a broader perspective that are essential for future leaders in business.”

This , we reflect on the progress the University of Southampton has made in 2024, as we work towards a future free from cancer.

Our work from 2024 included:

❤️‍🩹 Studying the impact of body composition on chemotherapy side effects in women with secondary breast cancer.

🏥 Advancing treatment for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia with venetoclax, now used at Southampton General Hospital.

💷 Securing £1.4 million to train the next wave of clinical scientists dedicated to beating cancer.

💉 Launching the Cancer Vaccine Launch Pad (CVLP) to accelerate clinical trials and improve access to personalised vaccines.

👊Understanding how natural killer cells target and attack cancer-promoting proteins.

🧑‍⚕️ Identifying new fibroblasts that could help the immune system attack tumours, making cancer treatment more effective.

It’s thanks to your support and donations that we can invest in creating a happier and healthier future for everyone.
