Our Progress department have been awarded the Smart Money Award 2026 by HSBC. 🎉

The Progress Team run regular talks with our students throughout the year around finances and helping our young people make healthy decisions with their money.

It's feel good Friday and we'd like to spotlight motor vehicle student Lilian Lathbridge who has been recognised by teachers for her hard work and dedication throughout the academic year. 🎉

Motor vehicle lecturer Colin Skillicorn has praised Lillian for her positive attitude and work ethic whilst passing her assessments with flying colours. She was also presented with a starter tool set to congratulate her achievements.

Massive well done, Lillian. We're proud to have you as part of our college community and it's been a pleasure to watch you flourish as a woman in a predominantly male dominated industry. 👏

We're proud to say that three pieces of artwork from our Art and Design students were chosen to be part of SFCA Art Exhibition 2026. 🎉

Following the theme "Artistes sans frontières" ("Artists Without Borders"), students created artwork in a medium of their choice whilst expressing their creativity and sensitivity to the world around them and the issues modern society faces.

Massive congratulations to Lily Holden ('Trends Fade'), Caitlin Hawkins ('Save Our Seas') and Charlii Booth ('Echoes of Craftmanship') for being selected for the final exhibition. Your work is not only fantastic but thought provoking. ⭐

Here are our Level 2 Bricklaying students learning more about the 'setting out' process. 💪

Using modern equipment such as laser levels helps students gain valuable industry relevant experience while building confidence in achieving accurate measurements and layouts.

It's great to see them growing their skillset as they prepare themselves for the world of work. Great work everybody! 👷⚒

Across Southport Education Group, we are proud to support 85 young carers studying at Southport College, KGV Sixth Form College and Compete Apprenticeships.

Our fantastic early years and childcare department held graduation ceremonies for our T-Level Early Years and Level 2 Teaching Assistant Learners. 🎉

During their studies, they've been dedicated and committed to their studies with their teachers highlighting their "genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development".

We know they'll go onto great things after college whether that's progressing into employment, apprenticeships, or further study. We wish them every success for the future and can't wait to see the positive impact they'll make in the lives of children and young people. 🌟
