Hello all! It's that time of year again, time to elect a new ArchSoc committee for the '21-'22 year!
If you would like to run for any of the following positions, please email [email protected] by 11:59 on 07/04/2021 with an excerpt of no more than 500 words explaining why you think you would be suitable for the position that you would like to apply for. The election will be held by Google Ballot and will be sent around to everyone on 08/04/2021.

Below is a list of the positions available and a description of what each role entails:

President
- Primary point of contact between Students' Association and the Society
- Chairs Committee meetings
- Delegates tasks to Committee members
- Signatory on the bank mandate
- Fosters good community relations between the Society and external bodies
- Collaborates with the Secretary to organise activities

Vice-President
- Chairs Committee meetings in the absence of the President
- Responsible for assisting the President in any task the President deems necessary to ensuring the success of the Society
- Completes and submits all risk assessments

Treasurer
- Maintains accurate and detailed records of the Society's financial activities in accordance with Association Guidelines
- Executes any resolution by the Committee to apply to the Students' Association for funding
- Signatory on the bank mandate
- Liases with the bank

Secretary
- Maintains a full and accurate membership roll
- Sends all letters on behalf of the Society
- Issues a weekly email
- Prepares an agenda for each Committee meeting
- Takes minutes during Committee meetings and stores them for future reference

Social Coordinator
- Maintains the Student Archaeological Society's page
- Ensures maximum coverage of group events
- Books venues and rooms
- Organises social and academic events

Inter-society Representative
- Serves as a liaison between the Society and other organisations including charitable organisations, student societies, and the University's academic departments

Ordinary Member(s)
- Serve as a liaison between the Committee and Society members
- Assists the Committee in the operation of Society events and activities.
