This week, we welcomed Josh from Anglia Ruskin University, who spoke to Year 12 about crafting standout personal statements 📝

Josh shared invaluable tips on what to include, explored real examples, and encouraged scholars to analyse what makes a personal statement stand out from the rest.

Our Year 12s left feeling confident and well-prepared for writing their own personal statements!

Today our Year 12s received their mock results🎓

Mock exams provide scholars with the opportunity to reflect on what worked and also a chance to think about what steps can be taken to improve.

Our Year 13 History scholars have been putting their knowledge to the test!📝

They were challenged to complete a full Tudor timeline in preparation for their Paper 1 A Level exam, covering all the key events from across the entire course. Their recall skills and understanding of each event was impressive!

To raise money for their end of year celebrations, our Sixth Formers took part in a varsity football match!

Finishing 5-5 after an incredible comeback from the Gold team, who were down 3-1 early on - they showed real determination to get the score back to even! The match ended on penalties, where Gold team took home the win🏆

It wasn't short of drama either - with 3 yellow cards, a red card, and Mr Simpson getting hit by the ball whilst refereeing!

Well done to Freddie for being voted Man of the Match by the crowd!👏

An unforgettable afternoon, thank you all for taking part and to those who watched and cheered on the teams!

This week, our Sixth Formers took part in their annual Paint Run – and what an event it was!🎨

Sixth Formers were challenged to raise funds for their end of year celebrations - with a promise from Mr Simpson that if they reached their target then he would join them in full costume, and he kept to his word!

They made their way around the course, throwing paint at each other whilst also attempting to dodge paint thrown by their teachers 👀
