2026 marks 20 years since the establishment of the University of Stirling Law School. While our Law community stretches back even further, the creation of the School marked the beginning of a new and innovative chapter for Law at Stirling. Since then, it has continued to grow and evolve, shaped by the students, staff, alumni and wider community who have been part of its journey.

One of the strengths of the Stirling Law community is the opportunity for students to learn from those who have gone before them. Today's students continue to benefit from placements, professional experiences and a thriving Law Society, while alumni play an important role in sharing their insights and experiences.

As part of our Be The One series, LLB Law graduate, Gillian, reflects on her placement with Brodies LLP and how the experience helped equip her with the skills and confidence to succeed in her career. Her story is just one example of the impact that meaningful connections and practical opportunities can have on a student's journey.
