🪴 A new global study involving the 's Dr Zarah Pattison has shown that fewer than half of people can name an invasive alien species occurring in their country, and that public support for measures to manage invasive species is generally low.

Led by Ana Novoa and Petr Pyšek from the Ústav experimentální botaniky AV ČR and the Estación Experimental De Zonas Áridas, the study analysed responses from more than 20,000 people in 54 countries across the world.

3 NEW things you need to know about EV charging on campus ⚡🚗

1️⃣ We’re moving to TAP Electric
From 26 October, the University’s EV chargers will begin moving from ChargePlace Scotland to TAP Electric.

2️⃣ Download the app before you charge
If you use our EV chargers, download the TAP Electric app and set up an account in advance.

3️⃣ Some chargers may be temporarily unavailable
The change affects chargers at Cottrell Car Park, Pathfoot and student accommodation. The work will take place in stages to keep charging facilities available across campus.

🌳 An ambitious led project to plant 16 million trees across the Forth Valley has received a funding boost to help communities shape plans in their area.

Forth Climate Forest, a partnership initiative hosted by the University, has been awarded more than £130,000 from NatureScot and Future Woodlands Scotland to appoint a consultant to work with communities in Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Stirling to co-design tree and wildflower planting plans for their areas.
