That’s why resistance training is about so much more than building strength or appearance. It builds muscle and supports bone health, helps manage stress and wellbeing, and supports healthy ageing and independence.
The key is progressive loading, gradually challenging your body as you become stronger, rather than simply doing more repetitions. Whether you train with machines, free weights or other resistance, your body needs an ongoing challenge to adapt.
