GreenPad check all properties to ensure high standards & compliance. We’re on College Road campus, by SqueezeBox. GreenPad is the official letting service of Staffordshire University Students’ Union. Whether you're an individual or a group seeking accommodation GreenPad can help! They are based on campus (around the corner from Squeeze Box, behind Mellor Building) and provide a free service for st

udents to secure good quality and affordable accommodation. The majority of their properties are within walking distance of campus (in Stoke, Shelton or Hanley) and they have a wide range of property types available, including; studio flats, two bedroom apartments, flat shares with en-suite bathrooms and house shares - have a look at our page to see images and videos of available properties. To qualify as GreenPad homes, each property is visited in person by our trained team, ensuring they meet the required standard before adding onto our website.

The Renters’ Rights Act is expected to introduce major changes to private renting from 1 May 2026.

Over the next few weeks we will be providing some in-depth information about what this means for you!

The changes apply to:

- Students renting privately

- Shared houses with 3 or more bedrooms (HMOs)

- Students with individual tenancies or joint tenancies

The changes do not apply to:

- ResLife accommodation, which uses licence agreements (not assured tenancies)

- Most Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) that follows the Unipol/ANUK Code, where contracts are typically common law tenancies

PBSA and ResLife will still be able to offer fixed term contracts tied to the academic year.
