Welcome to Freemasons' Hall, Stourport on Severn.
Built in the 1930’s and located in the heart of Stourport. Right on Severn Road, the tall building next to the Royal British Legion. Here we are the home for 6 Craft Lodges - Vernon 560, Minster 5581, Severn 5583, Mitton 6904, Ribbesford 7696 and Wyre Forest 8653.
One of the oldest social and charitable organisations in the world, Freemasonry’s roots lie in the traditions of the medieval stonemasons who built cathedrals and castles.
For Freemasons, there are four important values that help define their path through life: Integrity, Friendship, Respect and Charity. In today’s world filled with uncertainty, these principles ring true now as they have at any point in the organisation’s history.
Our ceremonies are based around three principles that are still taught in our ceremonies today: Look after those less fortunate, Improve yourself and Live life well so as to be remembered for the right reasons.
True to the sense of friendship and togetherness among Freemasons, meetings are also social events, providing an occasion for members to dine together.
Outside of the Lodge activities include community fundraising and volunteering activities, as well as a varied programme of events where spouses, partners and families are welcome.
Membership is open to men over the age of 18 from all backgrounds and the organisation’s aim is to empower members to be the best they can be – it’s about building character, supporting members as individuals and helping them make a positive contribution to society
The masonic season is generally September through April with one meeting per Lodge per month. Thus, with 6 Craft Lodges to choose from, your preferred weekday night will be available.
