Strode College serves the educational and training needs of Street, Glastonbury, Shepton Mallet, Langport, Wells and Castle Cary. It works closely with its partner 11-16 schools. Close liaison is maintained with the staff, students and parents at these schools and others within the area. The college makes provision for adult education in both Street and outreach centres. The college was graded as ‘Good’ in October 2022 by Ofsted.

A very warm welcome to all our new first year students joining us today!

We’re so excited to see the start of a new chapter for you and hope you have a fantastic first day. There will be lots of new experiences, new friendships and opportunities to get involved, so make the most of every moment.💙

If you’re feeling a little nervous, remember that’s completely normal. Take it one step at a time, be yourself and don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it. You’ve got this! 🙌

We’re also looking forward to welcoming our second year students back very soon.🎉

A huge congratulations to Imogen on achieving a fantastic Distinction in her Early Years T Level! 👏🎉

We’re incredibly proud of the hard work, dedication and resilience Imogen has shown throughout her time at Strode. It’s brilliant to see her efforts rewarded with such a fantastic result.

Imogen is now heading to Bath Spa University to continue her studies, with the ambition of becoming a primary school teacher. 🎓📚

We wish her all the very best for this exciting next chapter and can’t wait to see where her journey takes her!

📐 Celebrating exceptional A Level Mathematics results at Strode College!

We are incredibly proud of our A Level Mathematics students, who have achieved another fantastic set of results:

⭐ 50% achieved A or A*
⭐ 84% achieved A–B*

These results are a testament to the hard work and commitment of our students, alongside the support and dedication of the Strode College Maths Department.

A special congratulations also goes to Kelvin, who achieved AAB across A Level Maths, Further Maths and Physics.

Chelvi Stuart, Curriculum Lead, said:

💬 “The Maths Department at Strode has a long history of exceptional results. Staff ensure students have a positive mindset, and from day one, tasks are focused and linked to exam-standard work. Students also have the choice of attending break and lunchtime sessions if they require extra support or reinforcement.”

🎓 Last week, our students celebrated the results of their hard work — and now they’re sharing their advice for those getting ready to start their own college journey this September.

From the results they achieved to the lessons they’ve learned along the way, our students have shared some words of encouragement for anyone taking their next step.

Whether it’s working hard, asking for help when you need it or making the most of every opportunity, their experiences show just how much can be achieved during your time at college. 💙
