Great work in the Temple tonight! A huge congratulations to our newest Fellowcraft, in the WMT, on a fantastic Second Degree ceremony. It was wonderful to have so many visitors join us.
The Second Degree reminds us all of the importance of lifelong learning and the development of the mind.

A momentous evening at Wearside Masonic Temple for Ernest Dixon Lodge No. 7856 ! We were honored to host W Bro Lieutenant Colonel John William Henry, Assistant Provincial Grand Master, for our Installation ceremony. A huge congratulations to W Bro Paul Geoffrey Fryer, PPGStwd, on being installed into the Worshipful Master's chair for the ensuing year. We look forward to a fantastic year under his leadership !

A huge thank you to everyone who made our Lodge's Christmas night such a memorable occasion ! From the powerful sound of the piper to the beautiful harmony in our carols, the festive spirit was alive and well. A great night of Brotherhood and celebration.

A closed coffee shop led our Durham Freemasons Parkrunners straight to the Chester-Le-Street Amateur Rowing Club, where they discovered an urgent need. A chat, some cake, and a generous grant later, the club has a fully funded new training boat! 🚣‍♀️
​This is what community and a cup of coffee are all about. Making a real difference when it counts!

This is how you turn charity into service! Durham Freemasons are supporting thousands across the North East this Christmas with a £35,000 grant and hands-on volunteering for Feeding Families.

How you can help: Donate non-perishable food at Freemason's halls in Shildon, Billingham, Stockton, or Sunderland. Drop-off times are Tues-Thurs, 12-1 pm or 5-6 pm, until December 4th.

With a £35,000 grant and hands-on volunteering, we are helping Feeding Families support thousands of people across the North East this Christmas.

During a volunteer shift at the Feeding Families HQ in Blaydon, the team set a new packing record, preparing more than 270 food boxes in a single session for households in need.

You can still make a difference.
Donate non-perishable food items at Freemasons’ halls in Shildon, Billingham, Stockton and Sunderland on Tues, Wed or Thurs, 12–1 pm or 5–6 pm until 4 December.

Community at its heart. ❤️ Fantastic support for young people across the Province.

Durham Freemasons have reaffirmed their commitment to supporting local young people by awarding a further £12,000 and donating six bicycles to the Sacriston Youth Project. The funding will enable more young people to take part in transformative opportunities, including Tall Ships sailing expeditions and the Project’s innovative outdoor and cycling programmes as part of their Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award challenges.

We had a fantastic meeting this evening with a packed temple. We were honoured to welcome the Assistant Provincial Grand Master, Dr. Rakesh Bhalla, on an official visit.
​To top it off, we conducted a First Degree ceremony. A huge congratulations to our newest Brother, on his Initiation. It was a wonderful ceremony followed by great harmony at the Festive Board.
