Last week, A Level Chemistry students took part in the Royal Society of Chemistry's Schools' Analyst Competition.
Their task? Carry out experiments to gather evidence and help solve a 'crime' that had taken place in a pharmacy!
Experiments on items found at the crime scene included:
β A back titration of the caffeine in a dirty coffee cup
π Thin layer chromatography on a lipstick
π§ͺ Gravimetric analysis of some face cream
Huish's winners were:
