Last week, A Level Chemistry students took part in the Royal Society of Chemistry's Schools' Analyst Competition.

Their task? Carry out experiments to gather evidence and help solve a 'crime' that had taken place in a pharmacy!

Experiments on items found at the crime scene included:

☕ A back titration of the caffeine in a dirty coffee cup
💄 Thin layer chromatography on a lipstick
🧪 Gravimetric analysis of some face cream

Huish's winners were:

🥇 First Place: Bea Liebert, Izzy Wojtowicz and Ella Holmes
🥈 Second Place: Charlie Good, Giulia Ardelean and Katya Medvedeva
🥉 Third Place: Noah Greenhoff, Holly Chamberlain and Naomi Iwatake-Parr

College Closure Update - Wednesday and Thursday 🚨

Following the Met Office issuing a red alert for extreme heat on Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th June, campus will be closed on these days to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our college community.

Your teachers and tutors will set work or activities which should be completed remotely. Please refer to your student email for further details.

College will be open as usual on Friday 26th June.

It’s been a busy year for our Uniformed Protective Services students, with a highlight being the Year 2 final expedition at Brenscombe Outdoor Centre! 🗺️

Located on Dorset's Jurassic Coast, it was the perfect setting to develop skills, make memories and take part in a range of activities:

🏀Tigers Summer Camps🏀

We’re pleased to announce our Summer Camp dates for this year. We will be running six days of camps across three weeks, with each day running from 9:00am to 3:00pm. You can sign up to one day for £20 or both days for £35.

All camps are mixed and open to players aged 8–14. We welcome all experience and ability levels, and players will be grouped appropriately to ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone.
