☀️🐂 What a wonderful AGM with the Dexter Cattle Society! 🐂☀️

Well, what a fantastic day we had yesterday hosting the main farm visit for the Dexter Cattle Society here at Fire Beacon Farm! ❤️

A big thank you to Stacey Jane for these photos, as we did not get a single one! If anyone took ant then please do send them to us!

We were treated to some brilliant sunshine, although there was certainly a chilly wind blowing! The cattle were looking on form, and it was a real pleasure to welcome Dexter breeders and enthusiasts from all over the UK to our farm.

It was a wonderful opportunity for us, as a family, to showcase our herd and share just how much hard work has gone into transforming Firebeacon Farm. From adapting our buildings and handling systems to developing our grazing platforms, everything has been carefully worked on to suit our Dexter cattle and our flock of Exmoor Horn sheep. 🌱

We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved here, and it was lovely to share our farm, our animals and our journey with so many like-minded people who share our passion for Dexter cattle.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the AGM such a memorable occasion. We hope you all enjoyed your visit as much as we enjoyed welcoming you!

🏆 We’ll be sharing our AGM trophy results later this weekend, so keep your eyes peeled!

Wishing everyone a wonderful Sunday morning in this glorious sunshine. ☀️

🐃🌿 The AGM Farm Walk preparations are underway at Firebeacon Farm! 🐑

Some of the cattle have come in this morning, ready for tomorrow’s big day!

We’re really looking forward to welcoming Dexter breeders from all over the British Isles to Firebeacon Farm on Saturday afternoon for the AGM farm walk.
It will be lovely to show everyone around our Dexter herd and our flock of sheep, sharing an insight of what we do here on our family farm. ❤️
The cows certainly made the most of the lovely weather this morning, so let’s keep our fingers crossed for another beautiful day tomorrow! ☀️🤞

We can’t wait to welcome everyone and share our love of these wonderful little cattle. 🐃💚

🎂❤️ Thank you for all my lovely birthday wishes! ❤️🎂

I’ve had a lovely day and feel very spoilt! 🥰

Rosie and William made me a beautiful, delicious chocolate banana cake, one of my absolute favourites, using our lovely fresh farm eggs collected from the hens this morning. 🥚🐔🍌🍫

Nothing quite like a homemade cake made by the children and ingredients straight from the farm!
I also received this brilliant card today, which looks just like our crazy little pygmy goat, Pancake! 😂🐐 It certainly made me smile!
Thank you all so much for your kind birthday wishes, lovely gifts and messages. It’s been so lovely hearing from everyone, and you’ve all helped make my day extra special. ❤️
Now, I wonder how long that cake will last in this house! 😂🍰

🐔🥚 Fresh eggs for a very special birthday! 🎂🎉

This morning started with a little chicken-pen cleaning before breakfast, followed by the very important job of collecting some lovely fresh eggs! 🥚🐓

Rosie and William were on hand to help, eagerly gathering the eggs ready to make a very special birthday cake for Amy before school! 🎂❤️

There’s nothing quite like fresh eggs straight from our own hens, especially when they’re going into a homemade birthday cake!

A lovely little bit of farm life to start the day, with the children getting involved and the hens doing their bit for the birthday celebrations. 🐔💛
We hope you all have a wonderful day, wherever you are and whatever you’re up to!

🌅 A beautiful start to the day at Firebeacon Farm! 🍂
A lovely dry, chilly morning with a gorgeous sunrise and that unmistakable autumn feeling in the air. 🧡
What a difference from yesterday, when it was so dark and drizzly, with fog so thick you could hardly see the other side of the field! 🌫️
Mornings like this, heading out to check the stock, taking in the beautiful views and watching the farm slowly wake up, really are rather special. 🐄🐑
It's easy to get caught up in the busy farm jobs, but sometimes you just have to pause, take a deep breath and appreciate how lucky we are to call this place home. ❤️
Here's to a beautiful autumn day at Firebeacon Farm! 🍁🌾

🍀 A SIX-LEAF CLOVER… NOW THAT MUST BE GOOD LUCK?! 🍀

After school, Rosie was out checking on Pancake and Rosie the goat when she spotted something rather unusual growing in their paddock… a SIX-LEAF CLOVER! 🍀🍀
We’ve all heard of finding a four-leaf clover, but six leaves?! We’ve never found one before! 😍
Apparently, four-leaf clovers are considered lucky, so does a six-leaf clover mean we’ve got even MORE luck coming our way? 🤞✨ Perhaps it’s a little bit of extra magic from the farm!

🍀 Have you ever found a six-leaf clover? Do you know what it means, or is Rosie our very own lucky charm?
Let us know your thoughts in the comments! 💚
