Training is underway on our new Anatomage 12.0 Table 🙌

Staff from Nursing, Allied Health and Sport recently came together to explore the technology and its applications across our programmes.

A huge thank you to Vanessa from Anatomage, who travelled from Italy to deliver the training.

There was plenty of enthusiasm, engagement and exciting discussion as we prepare to embed this fantastic resource into teaching from September.

Keeping us safe online 💻🔐

Our IT students are helping build the secure network behind University Centre Truro & Penwith’s brand new £2.2 million AI-Enabled Computing Labs 🚀

Installing networking equipment and configuring infrastructure to learning cyber security using industry-standard technology, our students are developing the skills employers are looking for.

The cutting-edge labs allow students to experience cyber security from both the hacker and defender perspective, with interactive spaces that light up red, blue, or purple depending on the challenge ⚡

Cyber Security Lecturer Dave Cook said:

“You can't know cyber security without knowing networking, so we have to work with real equipment to understand it. This has really given them the hands-on skills to help get them to a level to pass the CCNA exam.”

A huge well done to our Cyber Security cohort for helping shape the future of digital learning 👏

🌟 We were proud to host the NSSW Cornwall Destination Fair at UCTP!

We were delighted to once again welcome this fantastic event to the University Centre Truro & Penwith College.

We know that fewer young people are able to attend university open days, meaning they can miss out on the vital conversations that help shape their next steps. This is especially true here in Cornwall, where distance, travel costs and transport links can be real barriers.

That’s why bringing so many institutions together under one roof is so important, giving our young people the chance to explore a wide range of opportunities, whether that’s moving away for university or choosing one of the excellent higher education options available locally.

🙌 A huge shout out to Next Steps SW and their brilliant Student Ambassadors for making the day such a success, and to everyone who joined us to explore their future pathways!

🚀 Ready to take your next step? It’s never too late to apply.
