Hi everyone,

Unfortunately we've had to cancel the charity run due to lack of interest in the event. We're going to keep the fundraiser and hopefully reorganise the event next year, at a time that better suits you all.

We have also been organising a suturing skills session for you all, but there has unfortunately been a delay in the suturing kits to arrive. This will have to be rescheduled to September time as well. However, this will probably be a better time for the upcoming second years to practice this skill for the first time, and for third years to be able to practice before starting their surgical rotations.

We'll be posting more information on the page over the upcoming weeks of our new committee and an opportunity for you guys to give us feedback of what went well and how we can improve for next year. So stay tuned!

I hope everyones AMK's went well and good luck for your OSCE's and SSU's over the next couple of weeks!!

We have some exciting news!

Our society has teamed up with one of the core surgical trainees in Exeter to see whether the medical students in Truro would like to have 1:1 suturing and knot tying online teaching for free! Please fill out the survey for us to get a sense of whether this would be something you'd be interested in or not.
