A lot of excitement at Baywood Community Centre this evening for Community Bingo, with this family winning prizes including a £10 voucher donated by RAG & BONE 👏👏

Community Bingo runs the last Wednesday of the month, doors open at 6pm, free of charge. Next one will be 30th September - get it in your diaries! 📆

We had some very happy players at Community Bingo tonight after they won prizes including a £10 voucher kindly donated by RAG & BONE café. Huge thanks to Rag & Bone, we look forward to seeing the pictures of more happy faces when the voucher is used!

Thanks to the great campaign from Tonia Antoniazzi MP, we took delivery of a box of stationery for West Cross Foodbank today. This will be distributed to families who need a bit of extra support with the costs of back to school - thanks to all who donated to the campaign across Gower! The donation box will be in Oystermouth Library for another week so please contribute if you can. 🖊️✏️🗒️

This morning we've been on the free bus down to Mumbles thanks to Swansea Council and had a great time playing Find it for the Foodbank raising money for West Cross Foodbank. Organised by the Mumbles Sea Wall Sale, it's a brilliant way to spend a couple of hours to support a good cause and get to see what's on offer from our wonderful local small businesses. So much fun at Castle Acre this morning! It was wonderful to get so much positive feedback from happy kids and happy grown ups alike.

Great to be on Welsh Coast Radio-WCR this morning to talk about and the activities and support funded by Swansea Council for residents over the summer 🌞

A huge thank you to Rebecca Fogarty - Councillor for West Cross for joining Rob Pendry in the Welsh Coast Radio studio today. 🎙️

It was a really informative chat covering some of the fantastic support and opportunities available across Swansea this summer, including:
☀️ Free summer activities for children, young people and those aged 50+, thanks to Swansea Council funding.

🚌 Free weekend bus travel during the summer holidays (remember, journeys must start before 7pm to qualify).

🥪 Information about food banks and summer food schemes available to support local families.

Do you have a little spare time to support your local community? Mumbles we need you! 🩵💚💛✨

Volunteers Needed – West Cross Caffi and Food Distribution Centre

Do you have a few hours on a Thursday morning? We would love to hear from you!

We are looking for volunteers to help at the West Cross Caffi between 9 am and 12.30 pm on a Thursday. The role is flexible and involves helping with the preparation and distribution of surplus food to support the other volunteers.

It is a great opportunity to meet new people and make a difference in the local community. We have a committed team of volunteers who are really making a difference but need some extra help.
