We are super excited to announce that we have a special guest attending on Wednesday night!caddick is a former student of Wakefield College who studied Film & TV from 2018 to 2020.
He has since gone on to become an award-winning narrative writer/director, and on Wednesday, Wakefield College Film Festival will be screening his upcoming comedy film FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!

📣FILM FEST IS NEXT WEEK!!!! 📣
Doors will open from 5pm on both nights, with the screenings beginning at 6pm.
Before heading into the theatre check out the bar and the green room for mini sets, a poster exhibition and an interactive sound installation!
The bar will be open on both nights for soft drinks and snacks - card only payments at the bar please.
We will be selling these gorgeous programmes on the night for £1 so please bring cash for these, all the money raised will buy less fortunate children Christmas presents.

After a long day at Uni, Mika goes home and falls asleep on the couch. When she is asleep, she hears a strange voice calling her “perfect”. She wakes up in a different reality where she is met with Reina and her group of friends… Something is still not quite right. Mika accepts this strange reality, thinking it’s just some kind of dream.
We have worked on this passion project together to combine our different skill sets and ideas to make this psychological horror. We explore the fear of technology and being trapped in another world.

After a body turns up one night, the case is dropped on Rachel Miller, and what starts a simple investigation quickly turns into a series of events that begin to unravel the secrets she tried to hide.
The audience is invited to experience a collective spiral of events that change the trajectory of an individual who sets out to discover the truth.

Look who’s been out and about getting into politics. Rob has played a central role in the production of short films and interviews for the Reclaim The Night Wakefield socials. Rob and a few key students really have driven the media side of RCtN. We are so proud that he is now looking at how he can be part of pushing for change!

An absolute pleasure to have Robert from Alverthorpe doing work experience in my office this week. Robert studies at Wakefield College and has thrown himself into every task with real enthusiasm.

He’s spent time supporting casework, learning how we help constituents, and getting a feel for how Parliament and local politics work day to day. It’s always great to see Wakefield & Rothwell's young people taking an interest in their community, and I wish him all the very best with his studies and whatever comes next.
