It's T Levels Week 2026!

Throughout this week we'll be sharing what student success looks like, hearing from current students about their T Level courses and celebrating the employers we work with who support our students with fantastic industry placements.

To kickstart, we wanted to share the incredible results from our T Level Teaching & Education and T Level Animal Management cohorts from last academic year. Both groups secured 100% positive progression, either into university, higher level apprenticeships or employment after achieving amazing results.

Sports students over at our Leigh Campus wore red to show their support for Show Racism the Red Card today.

There was also a kindness wall which gave a chance for students and staff to share some nice messages throughout the day. And across college, students and staff showed their 'red' colours as we showed unity against racism.

A fantastic opportunity to enhance learning and work towards gaining an industry recognised qualification alongside their studies.

Today, across college students and staff have been showing support for the Show Racism the Red Card initiative.

With students and staff having the option to wear red (in which we will share some pics later) our Hair & Beauty department did something a little different.

Our Entry level learners created a Nike Air Force style trainer display in which red notes were stuck on with some powerful messages written on; showing solidarity in the fight against racism. They also used their nail art skills to produce some red themed creations. Great effort!

It's been a busy week for our Public Services students at both our Parsons Walk and Leigh Campuses.

First year Level 3 Uniformed Protective Services students (based at Leigh Campus) worked with Wigan Council to carry out a rescue centre simulation in preparation for a major incident across the Borough.

And, a range of our Public Services groups at Wigan heard from the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust about volunteering opportunities, jobs roles in the service and general information about what they do.

Good health and safety isnโ€™t about more paperwork. Itโ€™s about knowing where the real risks are, putting effective controls in place and giving people the confidence to manage them well.

As our Health and Safety Manager, youโ€™ll be the Collegeโ€™s go-to source of professional advice, providing leadership, challenge and assurance across our campuses, workshops, labs and specialist facilities.

Youโ€™ll bring a NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent), significant experience in a complex organisation, and the judgement to focus effort where it matters most.
