👟 Cheering on participants in the Wi******er Rotary Clarendon Marathon;

🎸 Popping along to a performance of We Will Rock You by Southampton Musical Society at Theatre Royal Wi******er;

🌾 Joining the Harvest Service at Wi******er Cathedral;

Designed for students interested in Art, Design, Fashion, Media and Creative Technologies

Looking for something exciting to do this half term? Join us at WSA on Wednesday 28 October for an inspiring day of creativity, exploration and hands-on activities.

Our WSA Masterclass is perfect for students thinking about studying an undergraduate degree in the creative industries. Whether you dream of becoming a fashion designer, fine artist, marketer, or want to explore another creative career, WSA has a course to help you turn your ambitions into reality.

You can join us for the whole day or just part of it and get involved in a range of creative activities designed to give you a taste of life at WSA.
Come along, get creative, meet others who share your interests, and start exploring where your creativity could take you!

We hope to see you there!

What You Can Expect
This a half-day experience on campus at Wi******er School of Art and will include:
- A welcome and introduction to WSA
- An industry guest speaker or practitioner-led session centred around Why Creativity Matters
- A tour of our specialist studios and facilities
- A hands-on creative workshop or activity offered by our departments: Art and Media Technology, Design and Fasion and Textiles.
- Opportunities to ask questions and speak with staff and students
- On-the-Spot Offer Opportunities

Eligible students may also have the opportunity to take part in an On-the-Spot Offer session, where those meeting entry requirements may be considered for a conditional offer following a discussion with a member of the WSA admissions team. Students not yet ready to receive an offer will be signposted to portfolio support, contextual pathways and further guidance.

Please note, if you would like to take part in our on-the-spot offer session you will need to bring your portfolio either in person or digitally if required by your chosen course.

Introducing our MSc E-Textiles & Wearable Technologies course at Wi******er School of Art 🪡

Explore the intersection of textiles, science and technology, learning how to bring fabrics to life through electronics and responsive features.

You’ll develop practical skills in e-textile construction, coding, AI and advanced manufacturing, using specialist facilities including our E-Textile Innovation Lab to experiment, create prototypes and test new ideas.

From smart sportswear and heated workwear to wearable technology for healthcare, you’ll discover how e-textiles are being used across different industries and how you could be part of their future.
