Welcome Days 2024! We loved seeing our applicants across campus and can't wait to welcome them to PSC at enrollment! 🎉
Thank you to all staff and students involved.
Thank you to all staff and students who joined us for our Remembrance Service. The service contained contributions from student musicians, Principal Sara Russell and Student Union President Zac Hussain, followed by observing two minutes’ silence.
Well done to our talented trumpeters Felix Thomson, Ptolemy Grevitt, Simon Lloyd, Daniel Tickle and Jacob Gibbs, who performed The Last Post and Reveille.
Principal Sara Russell said: “ I am proud that the whole College community came together today to remember the civilians and service personnel who have given their lives to serve their country. We are acutely aware that conflict continues in the world today and we think of all those affected, near and far.”

Peter Symonds College Rugby Success
Rugby Success at PSC! We were very excited to see our fantastic Rugby students on BBC South yesterday!
Lewis Coombes visited the college to speak to students and staff about Rugby here at Symonds, including the success of ex-student Joe Marchant and his current success as part of the England Team at the Rugby World Cup.
Watch the video to hear Joe's dad and our brilliant Rugby coach, Mike Marchant, talk about coaching the PSC teams and the passion of #TeamSymonds.
Our students shared their sporting aspirations and what it's like to train on campus, some wishing to pursue a career in the sport. We can't wait to see what they achieve!

Earlier this month, the PSC South Asian Society organised a Diwali celebration for the college. This was a student-led event, where the whole PSC community were invited to enjoy some delicious food, have a henna tattoo and create rangoli sand decorations.
At lunch break there were dance performances in the Sports Hall, with lots of spectators watching some brilliant routines. A big thank you to the PSC South Asian Society for organising such a culturally rich, colourful and successful event!
We're super proud of our #EnrichmentProgramme at PSC, which is one of the biggest in the country!
Students can choose from over 150 activities ranging from Go Karting and Skiing to Future Medics Club and Crochet.
The Programme is designed to encourage students to not only focus on their studies, but their health and wellbeing too. The activities help students to develop their interests and skills, find new hobbies and connect with likeminded others!
Here's Debbie talking about her enrichment activity - African Caribbean Society, including the support the members offer her and the incredible friends she has made through it.

It's the end of #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek and we're encouraging students to reflect on this year's theme - loneliness.
We're super proud of our huge Enrichment Programme, which every PSC student takes part in and encourages students to socialise outside of their classes.
The vast array of activities we offer nurtures students' skills and talents and gives them an extra outlet to enjoy themselves and make new friends.
Whether it's a competitive sport, a recreational sport like 5-a-side, a wellbeing activity such as yoga, a subject extension activity or a general interest club - from crochet to quantum physics - we have something for everyone, to help students find others they connect with and go some way to help combat loneliness.
