๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŒ Our partner DAPP Malawi is training teachers for the future - and the teachers need to understand the reality of their students. Here is a story from the teachers training college TTC Chilangoma, where some of our students will be going soon for their 6 months volunteer period:

"As one way of preparing the student teachers trained under DAPP Teachers Training Colleges to live and work in the rural Malawi areas, the student teachers participate in a one Family Week activity whereby they go out and live with families in rural areas to learn how they live their day to day lives.

Between 1 to 5 July 2019, 96 student teachers from Chilangoma TTC carried a Family Week exercise in villages around their colleges. The students were attached to 40 families within four villages of Lemu, Nanjiwa, Gomeza and Kamโ€™mata within Traditional Authorities Kuntaja in Blantyre district.

DAPP has four Teachers Training Colleges namely Chilangoma in Blantyre district, Amalika in Thyolo, Dowa in dowa district and Mzimba in Mzimba district."

Our team recently joined the Tvind Olympics, an annual sports event bringing together around 500 young people from care homes across Denmark.

It was a day full of sports, teamwork, fun, and plenty of new connections! ๐Ÿคโœจ

Our students got involved in the event and experienced first-hand how sport can bring people together and create a strong sense of community. ๐Ÿ’š
