Congratulations to Adam Cross – Current Year 2 BSc Architecture student, who picked up a Highly Commended award for his TRADA National Student Design Competition entry when he was a Year 1 student. 2016 NSDC – dubbed Arboreal - challenged student designers to explore the science of timber as a modern construction material for a design for an exciting Wood Centre run by a tree and forestry charity SYLVA.

NEC will be holding the Grand Designs Live event from the 19th to the 23rd of October.

The event includes talks, lectures, product sales, construction exhibitions and much more! They also sell products for use around your home and the outdoors.

It's a really good place to visit if you want to expand your applied knowledge in Architecture and Design!
