A huge thank you to SUIT for coming to speak to our Health and Social Care group at Adult Education Wolverhampton and attending the AEW Careers Fair afterwards.

Their honesty, courage and openness gave our students valuable insight and created meaningful discussion in the classroom.

Our group were highly engaged and interested to learn more about how volunteering with SUIT could support and enhance their studies and future aspirations.

We are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside SUIT and look forward to exploring future opportunities for collaboration and partnership.

Staff and Students at Adult Education Wolverhampton were delighted to welcome visitors to our SEND Open Event!

Visitors explored our Life Skills learning and Supported Internships programmes, visited Employability, English and Digital Skills classes and took part in activities, quizzes and Q&A sessions.

One of the highlights of the day was showcasing our fantastic new accessible kitchen for Life Skills Cookery classes, where Students impressed guests by preparing delicious quiches!

We were also pleased to welcome Emma, Jamahl and Leia from the City of Wolverhampton Council Supported Employment Team, who provided valuable information, advice and guidance on progression routes into Supported Internship and Employment programmes.

A huge thank you to all our Students, staff and visitors for helping make the event such a success!

Do you, or someone you know, have a learning difficulty, disability and/or autism? Would you like to build confidence, independence and life and work skills in a supportive environment?

It’s not too late to meet the team and find out more at one of our upcoming Open Days.

AEW were proud to support Deaf Awareness Week by hosting an engaging and insightful British Sign Language (BSL) session at our new facilities in the City Learning Quarter last week.

The event was a fantastic opportunity to explore how we can all communicate more inclusively. It was inspiring to hear from our Students about the positive impact learning BSL has had on their personal lives and how it can support progression into a range of careers.

We were also pleased to welcome guest speakers from the University of Wolverhampton, who introduced their Deaf Studies degree and discussed potential progression routes, alongside Zebra, who shared the support available for people who are Deaf or become Deaf.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making the session such a success.

What a lovely morning yesterday hosting the Business Breakfast with the Black Country Chamber of Commerce!

It was great to welcome local businesses and professionals into AEW to connect, share ideas and talk about future opportunities for collaboration and student support.

One of the highlights was hearing from a former student who spoke about her journey from studying at AEW to now working here while completing her Master’s degree.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped create such a warm and positive atmosphere!
