This week we raise a toast to one of our most inspiring alumni, Edna May O'Connor, who celebrated her 100th birthday on August 5th 🎉🥂

Edna’s life has been nothing short of extraordinary - from working with MI6 after WWII to earning a history degree from the University of Worcester at the age of 85.

Happy belated 100th birthday, Edna! 💙

It was with great sadness that we recently learned that one of the University’s most long-standing and best-loved colleagues, Dr Paddy McNally, had passed away.

Paddy taught History at the University for more than 30 years, inspiring hundreds of students with his knowledge and expertise.

A celebration of Paddy’s life will be held at 10am on Wednesday August 13th at The Vale Crematorium, Evesham. The celebration will continue afterwards at The Anchor in Diglis, from 12noon.

All who knew Paddy are warmly invited to join his family to honour his life and share memories.

“The skills I learned at university have really helped the transition into working life, like having the experience of working to a live brief. Lots of the tutors have got their own experience in design, so just talking to them helped shape you into the design process, things that I still use on a daily basis.”

We caught up with Graphic Design graduate Beth Morgan at her job at WeAreBeard, a top creative design agency here in Worcester 💬
