OPEN DAY

We're looking forward to this Saturday's Open Day (28th October) at the University of Worcester.

It's a fantastic opportunity to meet students and staff, and find out more about our courses (BSc Geography, BSc Geography with International Year).

At Worcester, smaller class sizes mean more interactivity, more support, and a real sense of belonging. In other words, you are not just another face in the crowd. This is reflected in the National Student Survey (2023), which ranks us first (out of 21 courses) for academic support and learning resources.

Key features

Small-group teaching in a friendly, supportive atmosphere.
Focus more on human or physical geography in your second and final years, or maintain a balance.

From local fieldwork in most modules to fully funded residential field courses in all three years, our commitment to field teaching is second to none. In 2023/24, we are taking students to the Lake District, the Scottish Highlands, the European Alps, and Provence.

Option to spend a semester or year overseas in one of our partner institutions. Destinations include Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, USA, and Canada.

Highly interactive, enabling you to gain experience and proficiency with the latest technology. This looks great on your CV and is part of a broader employability emphasis that runs throughout the course.

No exams, all coursework. We want you to engage in coursework assessment that reflects the knowledge, skills and experiences valued by employers in the real world.

We are leaders in the development and use of VR to support teaching.
