Celebrating Student Voices Across CCG 🎉

We were proud to celebrate the incredible achievements of our Student Executive members and Students’ Union Officers from across all seven campuses at the CCG Student Executive Celebration Awards.

From leadership and innovation to teamwork, volunteering and student advocacy, these awards recognise the students making a real difference in college life.

✨We were thrilled to see our public Creative End of Year Showcase come to life once again this year! 🎨

From bold fashion pieces and striking fine art, to captivating photography and inventive prop making, the exhibition showcased an incredible breadth of work across our Creative Industries, highlighting the imagination, skill and individuality of our talented students. 🌟

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, and to the dedicated staff and students whose hard work and passion made the showcase such an inspiring success !👏

Ten of our incredibly talented Aeronautical students recently visited Southdown Gliding Club, where they had the exciting opportunity to climb behind the cockpit of a gliding simulator! ✈️

They got the chance to jump into a gliding simulator, with 15 minutes of flying time each – including an aerotow behind the club’s tug aircraft, learning how to use thermals, and bringing it in for a landing at the local airfield. 🙌

The day also included a really interesting talk and video about gliding in the UK, plus a visit to the hangar where they got up close to the tug aircraft. 👀

Huge thanks to the team at Southdown Gliding Club for such an inspiring opportunity – our students loved every minute!

Looking back to May, our Year 1 Diploma Fashion & Textile Design students showcased their incredible work at Guild Care on Warwick Street, Worthing. 🧵

Denim x Japan – Eras of Style explored the evolution of Japanese aesthetics through the universal language of denim, transforming pre-loved garments into innovative ready-to-wear pieces filled with culture and storytelling.

Working with denim generously donated by Guild Care, our students gave old materials a new lease of life, demonstrating the creativity and sustainability at the heart of their design practice.

A fantastic exhibition celebrating imagination, craftsmanship, and the power of upcycling. 👖✨

🏁 Race Week – Silverstone National 🏁

We’re back in action this weekend at the home of British motorsport, Silverstone, for Rounds 5 & 6 of the BRSCC Nankang Tyre CityCar Cup Championship and Student Motorsport

Representing TNR Motorsport (Team Northbrook Racing), Northbrook College Motorsport Engineering team, we head into the weekend carrying strong momentum after a perfect start to the season with 4 wins from 4 races. 🏆🏆🏆🏆

Working alongside the students is a huge part of what makes this programme special, giving the next generation of engineers invaluable experience in a live racing environment while we continue our push at the front of both championships.

Awards were presented across both further education and university-level courses, with runners-up and winners recognised in Theatre, Music, Art & Design, and Beauty. 👏

✨We were pleased to see students recently take part in a series of Meaningful Futures workshops! 🌱

Held in partnership with Sussex Bay, our students worked alongside peers from Brighton Metropolitan College and BHASVIC, together with local organisations to rethink how work experience and career pathways can better reflect the needs of future generations.

The workshops highlighted a clear shift in priorities, with students favouring authentic, real-world experiences over traditional careers platforms, and feeling less pressure to have their futures mapped out too early.

A big thank you to everyone who helped bring these inspiring workshops together 👏

From rehearsal room to the Brighton Fringe stage 🎭

Our BA (Hons) Acting students at Northbrook College brought their end-of-year performance, *Where I End and You Begin*, to The Old Market in Brighton, presenting a bold and thought-provoking reinterpretation of *Woyzeck*.

Developed and devised by the company, the performance explored contemporary gender roles through physical theatre, verbatim material, music and new writing, asking difficult questions about fear, power and what it means to be brave.

An incredible achievement and a brilliant showcase of the creativity, collaboration and talent across Northbrook Theatre
