Natalie Wilson, Leading Cadet at Yeovil Sea and Royal Marine Cadets, supported the Lord-Lieutenant of somerset, Mohammed Saddiq, during the visit of HM The Queen to Bath.

Natalie assisted Lord-Lieutenant Saddiq as they both welcomed Her Majesty on this fantastic occasion. She represented her cadet group and the wider community with pride, confidence, and outstanding professionalism. This is a significant achievement, and Natalie did her job to the highest of her ability.đź‘Ź

On 6th July 2026, staff from Yeovil College’s Construction Team will take on the iconic Three Peaks Challenge, aiming to raise vital funds for Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal, the official charity of Bristol Children’s Hospital.👏

The challenge will see the team attempt to climb the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours, an incredible test of endurance, teamwork and determination.đź—»

This fundraising effort holds particular personal significance for the team. Steve Bowler, Brick Workshop Manager at Yeovil College, experienced first-hand the exceptional, life-saving care provided by Bristol Children’s Hospital when his daughter underwent heart surgery last year.

Now, alongside his colleagues, Steve is giving back in a powerful way by taking on one of the UK’s toughest physical challenges to support the hospital that made such a difference to his family.💙

The College is encouraging the local community, employers and partners to show their support by donating and helping the team reach their fundraising goal.

Louise spoke to our learners about her personal career journey as a paramedic and what her responsibilities are. She also talked about the various career pathways students could do and any available opportunities within the company. After the talk, students had the chance to look around a real ambulance and ask any questions they had.đźš‘
