After some of the Georgian MPs invited a Russian communist MP into the Georgian Parliament, people took to the streets. Putin, still hopeful that he'd get away with this hybrid war move, got angry after seeing so many people protesting against his puppets and banned flights from Russia to "teach us a lesson" by limiting the freedom of movement of his own people, Russians who came to Georgia as tourists. This may cause us lose some "tourist dollars" but in the long run this means that we'll no longer be dependent on Russia in this sector. Besides, a substantial number of Russians come to Georgia by land, anyway.
So, if any of you from Europe were planning a trip to Georgia, this is the right time to do so. People are offering free accommodation for foreign visitors to balance this very insignificant loss. There is a link in the comments to the public group were you will be able to find free accommodation, tips and other offers for your visit.
