2026 წლის 13-14 ივნისს, სასტუმრში „მარგო ძველი თბილისი“ გაიმართა სტუდენტთა და ახალგაზრდა მეცნიერთა ასოციაციის (SYSSA) XI საერთაშორისო კონფერენცია „ Infection at the Crossroads“. კონფერენციაში მონაწილეობდნენ მედიცინის ფაკულტეტების სტუდენტები, ახალგაზრდა მკვლევრები და აკადემიური მენტორები სხვადასხვა სასწავლო და კვლევითი დაწესებულებებიდან, რსადაც შესაძლებელი გახდა სამეცნიერო ურთიერთგაცვლა და ინტერდისციპლინური თანამშრომლობა მედიცინისა და ბიოსამედიცინო მეცნიერებების სფეროებში.
ორდღიან სამეცნიერო ღონისძიებაზე წარმოდგენილი იყო 23 ზეპირი და 7 პოსტერული მოხსენება, რომელშიც დაახლოებით 150 მონაწილე იყო ცართული. კონფერენციაში მნიშვნელოვანი წვლილი შეიტანეს საქართველოს უნივერსიტეტის მედიცინის ფაკულტეტის სტუდენტებმა, რომლებიც აქტიურად მონაწილეობდნენ სამეცნიერო სესიებში და წარადგინეს კვლევები თანამედროვე ჯანდაცვის მნიშვნელოვან გამოწვევებზე.
საქართველოს უნივერსიტეტი წარმატებით წარადგინეს მედიცინის ფაკულტეტის შემდეგმა სტუდენტებმა:
🔹 არნავ ამბოკარი - Pyoderma Gangrenosum as a Chronic Non-Healing Leg Ulcer Managed with Multimodal Therapy and Platelet-Rich Fibrin Dressings
🔹 ფარვინ მოზაფარი - Bacteriophage Therapy for Multidrug-Resistant Diabetic Foot Infections
🔹 გისუ ფარჰანი - Surgical Complications of Dengue Infection: A Multisystemic Perspective on Intraoperative and Postoperative Challenges Across Clinical Contexts
🔹 მადიჰა მირზა - Measles and COVID-19: Epidemiological Disruption, Immune Dysregulation, and Long-Term Neurological Sequelae.
მათი აქტიური ჩართულობა და მაღალი ხარისხის კვლევითი პრეზენტაციები ასახავს საქართველოს უნივერსიტეტის მხარდაჭერას მომავალ ჯანდაცვის პროფესიონალებში სამეცნიერო ძიების, კვლევითი საქმიანობისა და საერთაშორისო აკადემიური თანამშრომლობის ხელშეწყობის მიმართ. თავიანთი მონაწილეობით ამ სტუდენტებმა აჩვენეს მედიცინის სტუდენტთა კვლევების სასიცოცხლო როლი სამედიცინო ცოდნის განვითარებასა და მტკიცებულებებზე დაფუძნებულ ჯანდაცვაში წვლილის შეტანაში.
ვულოცავთ ჩვენს სტუდენტებს ამ თვალსაჩინო მიღწევებს და საქართველოს უნივერსიტეტის წარმატებულ წარდგენას საერთაშორისო სამეცნიერო ასპარეზზე. ვუსურვებთ მათ შემდგომ წარმატებებს აკადემიურ, კლინიკურ და კვლევით კარიერაში.
On June 13–14, 2026, the XI International Conference of SYSSA, held under the theme “Infection at the Crossroads,” took place at Margot Old Tbilisi, Georgia. The conference brought together medical students, young researchers, and academic mentors from multiple institutions, providing a platform for scientific exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration in the fields of medicine and biomedical sciences.
The two-day scientific event featured 23 oral presentations and 7 poster presentations, attracting approximately 150 participants. Medical students from the University of Georgia made a significant contribution to the conference, actively participating in scientific sessions and presenting research on important contemporary healthcare challenges.

Their active engagement and high-quality research presentations reflect the University of Georgia’s commitment to fostering scientific inquiry, research excellence, and international academic collaboration among future healthcare professionals. Through their participation, these students demonstrated the vital role of medical student research in advancing medical knowledge and contributing to evidence-based healthcare.
