Dear WASSOSAs,

*WASS 80th Anniversary Book Appeal*

As we gradually approach our school’s 80th anniversary celebration on Saturday, 24 October 2026, may I humbly appeal to all of us to circulate, as widely as possible, the flyers relating to our school’s history and the scholarly book that chronicles it.

The goal is to leverage this important publication, which takes WASS’s history as an entry point into the post World War II history of Ghana and West Africa, to raise funds for the school’s numerous projects.

By God’s grace, I am delighted to report that the Library of Congress in the USA, through its representatives, has already procured copies of the book. This is particularly encouraging given that the book is yet to be available online, including through Amazon and African Books Collective.

Many thanks to all of you for your continued support and for helping to promote and sell this important book. Your efforts will contribute meaningfully to the success of our anniversary celebration and, more importantly, to the development of our beloved school.

Many thanks, and God bless you all.
