Two years out of SOS-HGIC. Already an author. Already a podcast host. Still just getting started.

Tristan Canfor-Dumas, Class of 2024, served as Head Boy in his final year, a role he says placed him in situations where growth was the only option. Today he is at Drexel University studying Business and Engineering, writing books, hosting the EMPOWER podcast, and working to help young Africans own their potential.

His goal? Bring it all back home to Ghana.
"Growth often comes from the most uncomfortable moments."
We are proud of the young man he is becoming.

Welcoming Our Newest Alumni!

Welcome, Class of 2026, to the SOS-HGIC Alumni Network.

During the annual Leavers’ Trip, our graduating class was officially inducted into the alumni community by a wonderful group of returning alumni. The induction ceremony provided an opportunity for meaningful conversations, as alumni shared insights into university life, career navigation, and embracing the opportunities and challenges of the wider world.

We are delighted to welcome the Class of 2026 into our growing alumni community and look forward to seeing the impact they will make in the years ahead.

Introducing our ‘Alumni Spotlight’ series.

We start this series with someone who embodies the school’s motto of “Knowledge in the Service of Africa”. Rosy Fynn (Class of 1999) is currently the Country Director for Nigeria at the Mastercard Foundation, where she is driving inclusive economic growth for young people across Africa.

Rosy credits her ability to lead, balance complexity, and embrace failure to the grounding she received at HGIC, from the rigour of the IB Diploma to the values instilled in everything outside the classroom.

This series exists to celebrate our alumni, inspire our students, and build a thriving global HGIC community. We are only just getting started.

Our alumni showed up in motion!!
It was wonderful to see members of the HGIC alumni community join us for the HGIC Fusion, from the 5.7 km Sponsored Walk organised by the Class of 2027 to the Principal’s Brunch and Band Concert. Thank you to all who came to support and reconnect.
We look forward to welcoming even more of you at future HGIC events!

18 years later, Peter picks up his certificate 😃 !
Peter Opoku (Class of 2007) visited our campus today and our Principal, Mrs. Eliz Dadson presented him with his official IB Certificate, and yes, he got 'stoled' too!

It was great seeing you, Peter, and we loved having you pay us a visit.
