A Special Message from our President

YOUR LIFESTYLE MAY BE SHAPING YOUR FUTURE HEALTH : JOIN THE GHANAIAN LIFESTYLE STUDY

Every day, our choices shape our health. The foods we eat, the way we work, our cultural traditions, physical activity, stress levels, sleep patterns, and social habits all play a role in determining our quality of life and longevity. Research shows that up to 80% of health outcomes are influenced by social, behavioral, and environmental factors, many of which can be changed.

Many chronic diseases, including hypertension, diabetes, stroke, heart disease, and cancers, are linked to lifestyle practices. The encouraging news is that many of these risk factors are preventable.

The Lifestyle Study is a unique Ghana focused research initiative seeking to understand:

* Which indigenous Ghanaian lifestyle practices may protect against chronic diseases
* Which lifestyle habits may increase health risks or protect against chronic diseases
* How combinations of daily habits affect our health, longevity, and wellbeing

The findings will help improve preventive healthcare, guide public health policies, and support healthier communities across Ghana.

We invite you to be part of this important national study.
