Prof. John Effah gets Landmark Publication in Information Systems Research

Prof. John Effah of the Department of Operations and Management Information Systems (OMIS), at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), achieved a significant academic milestone following the acceptance and publication of his co-authored research manuscript in Information Systems Research (ISR).

The study, entitled Digital Bricolage and Its Limits: How Micro-Enterprises Undertake Digitalisation in Resource-Constrained Environments, was co-authored by Prof. Effah alongside Stan Karanasios of the University of Queensland Business School, P.K. Senyo of the University of Southampton Business School, and Aljona Zorina of Neoma Business School.

The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) participated in the Africa, Business and Society (ABS) Kick-off Annual Workshop held from 26th to 29th May 2026 at Copenhagen Business School (CBS), Denmark.

The workshop brought together representatives from Copenhagen Business School, the University of Ghana (UG), the University of Nairobi (UoN) and the University of Johannesburg (UJ) to strengthen partnerships and establish a shared vision for achieving the objectives of the project.

The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), through the Transforming Education for Prosperity and Development (TeProD) project, held the final pitch presentation of its Innovation Challenge, with Team CarbonIQ emerging as the overall winner.

The session was moderated by Dr. Abeeku Sam Edu, who explained that the TeProD project is being implemented through a consortium of international and local partners, including institutions in Finland, Slovakia, Namibia and Ghana.

Department of Accounting Hosts 2026 Summer School

The Department of Accounting at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), in collaboration with the Accounting and Development Forum (ADF), hosted the 2026 Summer School on Accounting Research (SSAR), bringing together accounting researchers and students from several institutions.
