Twenty-seven police officers of the Hellenic Police were trained in operating ONEX SA’s high-end innovative heartbeat detectors
On Friday, August 24, 2018 ONEX SA’s specialized personnel conducted a training session on the operation and technical support of heartbeat detection devices at the premises of the Center for Security Studies of the Ministry of Interiors (KEMEA). The training was attended by 27 police officers of the Hellenic Police.

The trainees are officers serving in the country's Passport Control Departments, carrying out border control tasks, as well as police technicians from the Technical Department of the Hellenic Police Headquarters, who will assume the operation and technical support of the devices.

The Hellenic Police have been equipped by ONEX SA with twenty five (25) heartbeat detectors, allotted to the Police Departments of Orestiada, Alexandroupolis, Rodopi, Serres, Kavala, Drama, Xanthi, Thesprotia, Kilkis, Pella, Kastoria, Florina and Ioannina.

The system has the ability to detect human presence hidden in specially transformed areas (caches) in vehicles of various types, such as trucks, buses, etc. and will enhance the operational readiness and response in border control services.

By using data from special sensors, the system detects shock waves produced by heartbeats that are transmitted to any surface or object that touches the human body.

This pioneering solution, first presented in Greece by ONEX SA and the ITC Division of the company, assists the Hellenic Police to successfully carry out their duties against illegal immigration and perform effectively to the border surveillance of Greece.

Είκοσι επτά αστυνομικοί της ΕΛ.ΑΣ. εκπαιδεύτηκαν στη χρήση των υπερσύγχρονων και πρωτοποριακών συσκευών ανίχνευσης καρδιακών παλμών της ONEX SA
Εκπαίδευση στη χρήση και υποστήριξη συσκευών ανίχνευσης καρδιακών παλμών από εξειδικευμένο προσωπικό της ONEX SA παρακολούθησαν την Παρασκευή 24 Αυγούστου 2018 στις εγκαταστάσεις του Κέντρου Μελετών Ασφάλειας (ΚΕΜΕΑ), είκοσι επτά στελέχη (27) της Ελληνικής Αστυνομίας.

Πρόκειται για αστυνομικούς, που υπηρετούν σε Τμήματα διαβατηριακού ελέγχου της χώρας και ασκούν καθήκοντα συνοριακού ελέγχου καθώς και αστυνομικούς - τεχνικούς της Διεύθυνσης Τεχνικών του Αρχηγείου της Ελληνικής Αστυνομίας, οι οποίοι θα αναλάβουν τον χειρισμό και την τεχνική υποστήριξη των συσκευών.

Η Ελληνική Αστυνομία έχει εξοπλιστεί από την ONEX SA με είκοσι πέντε (25) συσκευές ανίχνευσης καρδιακών παλμών, οι οποίοι έχουν κατανεμηθεί στις Διευθύνσεις Αστυνομίας Ορεστιάδας, Αλεξανδρούπολης, Ροδόπης, Σερρών, Καβάλας, Δράμας, Ξάνθης, Θεσπρωτίας, Κιλκίς, Πέλλας, Καστοριάς, Φλώρινας και Ιωαννίνων.
Το συγκεκριμένο σύστημα έχει τη δυνατότητα να εντοπίζει ανθρώπους κρυμμένους σε ειδικά διαμορφωμένους χώρους (κρύπτες) σε οχήματα διαφόρων τύπων, όπως φορτηγά, λεωφορεία κ.λπ., γεγονός που θα αναβαθμίσει την επιχειρησιακή ετοιμότητα και ανταπόκριση των υπηρεσιών συνοριακού έλεγχου.

Με τη χρήση δεδομένων από ειδικούς αισθητήρες, το σύστημα ανιχνεύει κρουστικά κύματα που παράγονται από τους καρδιακούς παλμούς και μεταδίδονται σε κάθε επιφάνεια ή αντικείμενο με το οποίο το σώμα βρίσκεται σε επαφή.

Η πρωτοποριακή αυτή λύση ανίχνευσης καρδιακών παλμών η οποία παρουσιάστηκε για πρώτη στην Ελλάδα από την ONEX SA και τον Τομέα ΙCT της εταιρείας, βοηθά την Ελληνική Αστυνομία να επιτελέσει με επιτυχία το έργο της κατά της λαθρομετανάστευσης και στην αποτελεσματική αστυνόμευση των συνόρων της πατρίδας μας.

The headquarters of ONEX SYROS SHIPYARDS in Athens visited an official delegation of senior officers of the Navy and the Coast Guard of Indonesia, in the presence of the President and Managing Director of the ONEX Group Mr. Panos T. Xenokostas, the Head of the Commercial Division of the Neorion Syros Shipyards and the Technology Systems Department of the Group along with His Excellency the Ambassador of Indonesia to Greece, Mr. Ferry Adamhar.

The presentation and the following discussions were held in a pleasant atmosphere and were focused on the following issues:

> Special emphasis was given to the potential cooperation between the Neorion Syros Shipyards, and the Indonesian Navy and Coast Guard, in the field of shipbuilding in Greece and Indonesia.

> Possible cooperation at the co-development of high-tech sectors.

At the end of the visit, the head of the Indonesian delegation, Rear Admiral Ari Soedewo, Indonesian Maritime Safety Service, after thanking ONEX SYROS SHIPYARDS warmly for the hospitality, offered Mr. Xenokostas a commemorative plaque on behalf of the Indonesian Navy. Both parts renewed their appointment for the near future when the Indonesian delegation along with Indonesian government officials will visit the Neorion Syros Shipyards.

Στο τέλος της επίσκεψης ο επικεφαλής της Ινδονησιακής αποστολής Αντιναύαρχος Ari Soedewo της Ινδονησιακής Υπηρεσίας Ναυτικής Ασφάλειας, αφού ευχαρίστησε θερμά την ONEX SYROS SHIPYARDS για τη φιλοξενία, προσέφερε στον κ. Ξενοκώστα αναμνηστική πλακέτα εκ μέρους του Πολεμικού Ναυτικού της Ινδονησίας.
