Almost all teachers agree that getting Young Learners to understand complex topics is arduous and therefore unappealing to learners and teachers alike. Can a coursebook manage to do this while developing a solid foundation of language skills, extensive vocabulary knowledge and manage to stay relevant and attractive? Blue Dot, the groundbreaking course by Oxford University press promises to help teachers do a lot more than simply present language. It promises to help them ‘’join the dots’ so that the language presented is immediately put in action and therefore not forgotten. As teachers of the most widely spoken language in the world we know that content is essential. Learners need to be able to discuss issues, which cannot be accomplished unless we utilise a Concept-Based Inquiry teaching. In this session, we will examine how BLUE DOT takes learning a step further! Join us!
