Successful participation for the DiLanEdu-WB project at the International Conference "Language Teaching in Multicultural and Digital Learning Environments", held on May 8–9, 2026 at the University of Western Macedonia in Kozani, Greece. 🌍
The DiLanEdu-WB project was represented through two presentations highlighting the project’s contribution to digital transformation and innovation in language education across the Western Balkans.
📍 “Digital Transformation and Language Teaching & Learning in the Western Balkans”
by Konstantinos Giakoumis, Professor and DiLanEdu-WB Primary Coordinator at LOGOS University College, represented by PhD (c) Lina Basoukou.
The presentation focused on the growing importance of digitalization in language education and the need to strengthen digital competencies in the Western Balkans. It also presented how the Erasmus+ DiLanEdu-WB project supports this transition through updated curricula, ICT-based language training, new micro-credential training programmes, and the establishment of collaborative networks for digital language education and research.
📍 “Comparing Learning Outcomes in International Digital Pedagogy Training: Evidence from the DiLanEdu-WB Project”
by Arlinda Beka, Associate Professor, Faculty of Education, University of Prishtina.
The presentation highlighted the impact of DiLanEdu-WB international trainings in strengthening digital pedagogy skills among professors, students, and teachers. Based on training sessions held in Tirana, Banja Luka, Prishtina, and Podgorica, the study demonstrated positive learning outcomes and showed how international collaboration can support educators in the effective use of digital tools in education.
Together, the two presentations highlighted the broader vision of DiLanEdu-WB: fostering a more innovative, inclusive, and human-centered digital future for language education in the Western Balkans.
