This recognition highlights the scientific quality and methodological rigor of the work carried out by Oceanus-Lab within the framework of the Cyclades LIFE project, coordinated by WWF Greece.
Oceanus-Lab, an academic institution with extensive
expertise in marine habitat mapping and marine environmental research, played a central role in the implementation of this study, applying advanced methodologies for high-resolution seabed mapping and habitat characterization. The inclusion of this work in the European Commission’s technical guidelines underscores the importance of robust scientific approaches for the effective assessment, conservation, and management of marine habitats protected under the Habitats Directive.
