m4mining aims to improve material characterization during extraction, re-mining, and environmental impact monitoring. The consortium works together to map and monitor active and inactive mining sites using UAV and satellite sensors. We work to achieve real-time mineral classification via UAV, allowing seamless 3D visualization for decision-makers on the ground. The infrastructure (hardware and software) will be developed through direct conversations with stakeholders on a mineral advisory board.
Proud to be a partner of such a great consortium! 🙌

Congratulations ✌️

🚩Today, the technical kickoff meeting of the Sat4GAIA - Axis 3 Greek Microsatellite Program took place in the premises of the Ministry of Digital Governance, with Geosystems Hellas leading the effort as prime contractor.

🛰️The project is funded by the Recovery and Resilience Fund (RRF) Greece 2.0 under the management of ESA - European Space Agency and in close collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Governance of the Hellenic Space Center (HSC). The objective of the project is the creation of a Land Monitoring Service including Land Use/Land Cover Mapping, Deformation Monitoring and Urban Analytics Services, which will subsequently be integrated in the Governmental Hub.

🤝Also in attendance were representantives from Beyond EO Centre NOA and Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH)
, which serve as Co-Prime, as well as Laboratory of Photogrammetry SRSGE NTUA, WINGS ICT Solutions, Consortis , Πανεπιστήμιο Πατρών University of Patras (UoP), and MPlegal Firm , which constitute the consortium as subcontractors.

👥During the meeting, the next steps of the project were agreed upon, based on a series of negotiation points.
